We’ve replaced the original 31’ Bertram with an updated, fully air-conditioned, 42’ Bertram to enhance your fishing experience and personal comforts. This new boat is full service. It offers a spacious air- conditioned salon, full galley, sleeping quarters, spacious back deck and flybridge. There is no comparison to the now departed 31’Ambush, this is a new age and the 42’ offers every amenity an angler or non-angler could ask for on the Gulf of Mexico.
For an even better day on the water we have also added Captain Herschel Reynolds to our game plan. Herschel is a licensed USCG 
approved captain who brings 19 years of fishing experience to our operation. His ability to catch fish, interact with customers, knowledge on the water, and overall personable attitude will make each trip a special occasion.
Ambush Offshore strives to make each and every trip one of a lifetime. Typical catches vary by weather and seasons but here is a list of possibilities: kingfish, shark, ling, dorado, wahoo, amberjack, grouper, tuna, snapper, and of course billfish.
The techniques used, bottom fishing versus top water vesus trolling, and the species targeted changes daily based upon sea conditions, weather, the current and angler’s wishes. Your catch will be maximized if you follow your captain’s advice for what is possible on that particular day. The season in Port Aransas is basically year-round. There will be bad weather days so plan your fishing trip early in your vacation in case we need to reschedule.
