How its done:

Step 1: select your trip: to keep things simple Ambush offers two basic trips each for 6 fishermen.

We fish year round with the following price schedule effective
for 2009:

“Inshore” Trips $1600
(less than 35 miles offshore and approx 8 hrs)

“Offshore” Trips $1900
(more than 35 miles offshore and approx 10-12 hrs)

5 Hr Trips (by request only) $1100
We also offer 5 hour trips subject to availability.

Step 2: Use the calendar below to reserve your date and make a deposit. Unfortunately we cannot hold dates without a deposit of $300.
Ambush accepts all major credit cards for deposit and charter fares. Payment is due in full prior to disembarkment.

Typical catches vary by weather and seasons but here is a list of possibilities: kingfish, shark, ling, dorado, wahoo, amberjack, grouper, tuna, snapper, and of course billfish. The techniques used, bottom fishing versus top water vesus trolling, and the species targeted changes daily based upon sea conditions, weather, the current and angler’s wishes. Your catch will be maximized if you follow your captain’s advice for what is possible on that particular day. The season in Port Aransas is basically year-round. There will be bad weather days so plan your fishing trip early in your vacation in case we need to reschedule.
